The building’s main entrance and the sidewalk leading to it will remain open. The 24/7 pickup lockers will also remain available for use.

Regular curbside pickup service is unavailable while parking lot repaving is underway. Patrons who require this service may submit an accommodation request for curbside service. Patrons who have an accommodation request on file may continue to request curbside pickup service at the Farmington Hills location.
The Farmington location is operating with normal hours and services. We are awaiting final permits before construction setup and demolition can begin. We’ll continue to share updates here as the project moves forward.
Service impact timelines are subject to change as construction progresses. Please check back here for the most up-to-date information.

About Phase One Renovation Projects
These projects are a part of the first phase of the Library's Facilities Masterplan. These improvements will update aging infrastructure, improve accessibility, and create new spaces for the community to gather, study, and play. While timelines may change as work progresses, Phase One is currently anticipated to be completed in June 2027.
The approved projects were selected because they address current infrastructure needs and will significantly enhance building usage. All Phase One projects are funded through the Library's general operating budget.
