The Children’s Disability Support Collection includes books, other media, and games aimed at supporting children and pre-teens with disabilities as well as their parents, caregivers, and educators.
This Collection includes games and educational tools that are adapted for a wide range of disabilities, books for parents and children, and various other resources.
This Collection is kept at the FCL Farmington Hills location. FCL cardholders may place any item on hold for pickup at the FCL Farmington location.
Adaptive Storytime (Ages 3-11)
The Library offers a monthly Adaptive Storytime for children ages 3-11 and their caregivers. This storytime holds space for families that have children with disabilities or special needs. Visuals, stories with sensory engagement, and adaptive movement for neurodiverse and disabled youth with their grown up are are offered. Play and parent networking follows storytime.
