The 2024 MLK Day Student Art Competition has closed. Thank you to all who submitted a work of art and congratulations to the winners! You can watch the award ceremony on our YouTube channel that took place during the intermission of the MLK Day Student Panel discussion.

Win up to $100 gift card by creating a work of art inspired by the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. Enter the contest by submitting a visual artwork, inspired by the values of MLK. Make sure to use the theme: “We must find new ways to speak for peace.”

Winners will be announced, and prizes awarded, at a ceremony on January 15, 2024, at the FCL Farmington Hills location. Winning submissions will also be displayed through the month of February at the FCL Farmington Hills location.

There will be 2 winners in each of the categories, which will be organized by age:

Middle School: Grades 6-8
High School: Grades 9-12

This contest is open to all students who live in Farmington or Farmington Hills and are in Grades 6-12. Any visual media is acceptable such as watercolors, pastels, pencils, acrylic, crayons, paper cuttings, oil paints, sculpture, and photography.
