1,000 Books before Kindergarten!

This program encourages you to read 1,000 books to your child before kindergarten to help them be better prepared for school. We host fun events to celebrate your progress along the way, and you will earn a free book bag and hardcover children's book!

FCL Launches New Literacy Program: 250 Books Before 6th Grade

Our Children's Department launched a new literacy program for students in kindergarten through 5th grade at the Library Extravaganza this past Sunday! Read 250 books before you enter 6th grade and receive cool prizes along the way.

FCL Launches FiberCity® Digital Literacy Project with $10,000 Donation from Farmington Area FiberCity

Farmington Community Library launched the FiberCity® Digital Literacy Project this fall, thanks to a generous $10,000 donation from Farmington Area FiberCity® powered by SiFi Networks. This funding will support circulating laptops and a subscription to Fiero Code, a learning platform for users ages 8-18 that teaches them how to code.

Nearly 10,000 Diapers Donated to Neighborhood House by Our Generous Community

We are overwhelmed by the support our Diaper Drive received from our community! This week, the Library delivered a grand total of 9,892 donated diapers to the Neighborhood House in Farmington Hills.
